Digital Cantilever Beam Sensors Load Cells from 220kg to 4400kg for Mixing Tanks

In designing the CBD series digital load cells, we selected stainless steel material, considering the characteristics of cantilever beam sensors. Compared to aluminum alloy, stainless steel has higher rigidity, making it more suitable for high-capacity applications. Therefore, our CBD series load cells can achieve a wide range from 220 kg to 4400 kg. Additionally, stainless steel has superior corrosion resistance compared to aluminum alloy, making it ideal for environments with strong corrosive conditions such as chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Furthermore, its excellent impact and overload resistance make it particularly suitable for installation on platform scales or truck scales.
Our CBD digital series load cells have obtained the CPA certificate (China Measuring Instruments Type Approval Certificate) and have achieved C6 precision, which means a division value of 1/6000. However, from the very beginning of the design, we set high standards for ourselves, aiming for C10 grade in sensor design. Additionally, the C10 certification for our CBD series digital load cells is also underway. Apart from precisely bonding strain gauges on the elastic body, we also embed high-precision ADC modules to process analog signals, and perform temperature compensation, linear compensation, and filtering on the sensors, thereby improving the accuracy and stability of weighing data. Finally, the data is output through CAN bus as digital signals, significantly enhancing the anti-interference capability of the output signal.

As the continuous development of industrial internet, digital transformation has become increasingly important. Sensors with digital signal outputs are easier to integrate into the industrial internet. Below, we will discuss two simple cases to illustrate the application scenarios of digital cantilever beam sensors.
- Case 1: Smart control of mixing tanks
In industrial automation production scenarios, install the CBD series digital load cells on the three support feet at the bottom of the mixing tank to achieve batching control functions, as shown in the figure:

The circled red section indicates the installation location of the sensor. After connecting the load cell to the digital instrument, thanks to the high sensitivity and stability of our digital instruments and CBD digital series sensors, we can quickly and in real-time obtain the total weight of the tank (including materials) and maintain good stability under such operating conditions. By connecting the digital instrument to the factory production network via industrial internet interfaces such as Profinet, EtherCAT, RS485, etc., through the program set by the software control system, it can achieve the control of material input and output in conjunction with PLCs within the network. The process diagram is as follows:

- Case 2: Smart logistics management for platform scales
Install the CBD series digital load cells on the platform scale. After connecting with the WMS system, the weight information of the weighed items can be synchronized in real-time to the WMS system. By binding RFID tags with the weighed items, the storage location of the weighed items can be directly determined, making it convenient for subsequent search and management.
Based on the above cases, through various combinations of instruments and cantilever beam sensors, we can achieve more functions:
1. In chemical production processes, corrosion-resistant sensors are required, and our CBD digital series load cells can well meet this need. They can be applied to weighing in chemical reactors. By integrating the digital signals from the CBD series into the production process and using control software to compare the weight of the reactor with preset values in real-time, we can control the feed valve or temperature;
2. Leveraging the digitalization of sensors to provide remote monitoring capabilities different from analog sensors, by continuously monitoring the load cells and conducting big data analysis, we can accurately and quickly identify issues, reduce equipment downtime, and improve production efficiency.
